A financial manager with the Canadian special education initiative the Arrowsmith Program, Andrew Sommerhalder is a longtime resident of the greater Toronto area. Before joining the Arrowsmith team in 2021, Andrew Sommerhalder served 3 years as a Group controller with the design firm Envision.
He rose through the ranks at Envision to manage its accounting team, oversee its general finances, and monitor its regulatory controls. He also facilitated a a process to report and predict future revenues and profitability of the three distinct business divisions.
Other highlights of Andrew Sommerhalder’s career include serving as both controller and chief financial officer of Hedy Canada & GS Medical Packaging. His accomplishments with these two Toronto companies range from spearheading audits and financial reviews to coordinating human resource operations and optimizing distribution channels.
Mr. Sommerhalder holds active designations as both a chartered professional accountant and a certified general accountant. He also holds a bachelor of science from the University of Toronto.
